'Jimged' Ary Sendy Trisdiarto
Born 1978 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Graduated
from photography at the Faculty of Film and
Television, Jakarta Institute of Arts. He is interested
in consumption patterns in urban life
associated with rapid and inevitable world
changes. Jimged observes these things
through social, political, geographic, and historical
lenses. A variety of image-recording
actions are embodied in his artistic practice.
Within this framework his observations result
in a point of view that demands our understanding
the power constellations operating
in our living spaces today. Some of the major

Jakarta, 2019); Local Genius (Taman Budaya

(Gudang Sarinah Ekosistem, Jakarta, 2017);
with Julia Sarisetiati in What Does Art Do?
(Gwangju Biennale, South Korea, 2016) and
125.660 Specimens of Natural History (Galeri Salihara, Jakarta, 2015). At the end of 2018,
his latest solo exhibition entitled Daur Amanat
was exhibited at RUBANAH Underground-Hub,
Jakarta, curated by Grace Samboh.
